Basically, if you aren't traveling alone, or you aren't spending the summer in Europe (from 1-6 months of time) then you can probably skip this section!

Further, this is probably the least generalized section, geared towards the young, independent traveler taking time to explore the world. As such, I've got a lot of off-shoot thoughts in here that don't apply elsewhere. Much of this is based on two trips I've taken, one a 6-month visit to Britain where I lived and worked in London, and the second a 4-month trip through much of Continental Europe after quitting my job.

And, if you don't want to hear my advice on how to attach yourself to other travel groups or don't like the occasional whine, this section ain't for you.
